Stories about grandmothers seem to strike a chord. I’m one of ten authors who contributed to this anthology, edited by Jan Hutchinson. The book has been reprinted and is also available as an audio book. I plan to write more about my grandmother one of these days. She was born in the Northern Territory in 1892 at a time when there were only 15 Chinese women in the whole of the Territory. That would have included her mother and two older sisters. My grandparents moved to Longreach in central Queensland in 1910 and ran the General Store. Old timers still remember the pies my Grandma made. Enjoy the trailer made by me and my colleague Carolyn Taylor.
